It appears that the Fall airline specials will continue into the most desired travel season of Winter. The caveat is that tickets must be purchased by October 29, 2012. Alaska Airlines announced a airfare special from San Jose / Oakland to Lihue Kauai for $169 including tax each way. It has been a long time since we have seen a deal in travel to Kauai so only the fleet of foot will take advantage. Of course there are a few rules and here they are. Not to be out done by Allegiant Air who has recently announced an updated schedule to the Hawaiian Islands. Alaska Airlines has posted that they will begin new flights to our Kauai from Portland. This announcement is for a seasonal flight schedule but hey who is complaining typically once Alaska Airlines announces a new departure city to Kauai they eventually make it a regular year round departure city to Kauai, if it can remain profitable. We have been watching for the past three months while travel deals have been announced for all the other islands except Kauai.
