It has been a long time coming but finally Alaska Airlines has announced a special directly to Kauai Hawaii from the San Francisco Bay area. We have been watching for the past three months while travel deals have been announced for all the other islands except Kauai. We were beginning to feel a bit slighted, wondering if the airlines didn’t need to offer an incentive to see the most beautiful island in the Hawaiian chain.

The sale is available for travel in March 10 to May 17, 2012. The posted cost is $139 one way and $316 for a round trip ticket from Oakland or San Jose to Lihue. There is a great deal of availability at this writing with some black out dates in earl April. Check with Alaska Airlines for more details.
A romantic getaway to the Garden Island is now affordable. We have some availability in March and April and May is wide open. It is one of the best things to do to escape the winter doldrums.
